Ash Dieback Tree Removal

The Client Brief

We were asked to dismantle an Ash tree for a customer in Paignton as the tree had Ash dieback disease and it was in a high risk location near to some houses.

The Challenges

The tree was located on the boundary between two properties, and it was over hanging a river. Because of the disease the tree had become too brittle and unsafe for us to use ariel tree climbing methods, so instead we used a tracked cherry picker making it safer and more efficient due to the trees awkward location.

What we did

Our team worked from a cherry picker to gradually remove the tree from this site. We had to be careful around the area as the tree was very brittle and was located overhanging a river. Once the tree had been dismantled a pile of wood chippings was left on site to use around the land, and a pile of firewood to use in the the customers log burner.

The Outcome

Our client was very happy with the end result and that they could rest assured that the area was now safe.
