Did you know Kneebone Trees offer a convenient on-site log splitting service?
We can save you time and effort while providing a rich source of fuel for a wood burner or open fire.
We offer log splitting for businesses or domestic homes either as part of one of our other arboricultural services or as a standalone mobile service.
I was really pleased with the work that the Kneebone brothers did at my house - Good value, tidy, polite and skilled! Thank you.

Affordable equipment hire – operator included
Chopping trees into suitably sized logs manually is backbreaking work. Even the sharpest axe will quickly blunt after a few strokes, increasing the time and effort needed to complete the job.
Kneebone Trees can bring our heavy-duty log splitter on site together with a qualified operator to ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently. Our log splitter can provide ten tonnes of force, turning even the toughest trees into firewood in no time at all.
As safety is our priority, the machine will never be left unattended and our professional but friendly operators will ensure all adults, children and pets are completely out of harms way during splitting.
1. Call or Email
We will make a site visit and give you a price for the works and availability for when the work can be carried out.
2. book a time
Get yourself in our diary for a time to suit you within a time of up to two weeks of the work being accepted
3. Done and dusted
We arrive on time and carry out the works removing all the green waste or leaving a pile of fresh woodchip to use within your garden beds and pathways.
Why add our log splitting to the job?
Whether they have been naturally or professionally felled, mature trees are a free source of fuel for open fires and wood burners. Recycling the wood to keep your home or business warm makes financial sense and you could even sell off the excess for profit.
Of course, we also locally deliver mixed hardwood and softwood which has been specially prepared for wood burners and open fires. See our ‘Seasoned Firewood’ section for more details.
